From the Corporate World to Blazing Her Own Trail

Alexandria founded her background in marketing communications as an account executive atMosby Consumer Health in Boston, where she managed clients’ newsletter publications from 1993-’96. After moving to New York City, she was immediately hired by Oxygen Advertising to head their new publishing division.

Desiring to control her own destiny, she formed her own marketing communications agency, AKB Communications Inc., in 1999. As the company’s principal copywriter and consultant, she developed a specialty in communications that build relationships and increase sales — particularlyprint and online newsletters (or “e-zines“). Alexandria has written and consulted for prominent clients such as New York Times Digital, Adweek Magazines, Dun & Bradstreet andScholastic Books.

In 2001, Alexandria authored List Building System, which has won multiple International APEX Awards. The tutorial walks small business owners and entrepreneurs through the process of launching and publishing an e-zine (e-mail newsletter) that’s guaranteed to double their business within a year.
